African societies are cultural, and since the begining of times, it has been held in high esteem and handed down through generations. Africa is different from what you’ve seen on your TV. It’s not of the myths Hollywood has made you believe over the years. You can only speak of Africa by understanding African cultures and values. And, it’s not as isolated and bare as some people have been brainwashed to think. No, Africans do not live with lions, etc. Instead, Africans live luxuriously and of style. - Respect Elders: Respecting elders is entrenched in African cultures, and it’s the roots of its foundation of the past and present. Africans were brought up to value elders, regardless of race, culture, or religion. To value an elder is to value the gift of longevity. A wise young man/woman’s life from an early begining is based upon this foundation. They must respect their grandma and grandpa and hold them dearly.
