1. Believe in a higher power, God, or whatever you believe in. As for me, it’s “GOD.”
2. Focus on Goals, not boastfulness. To do so, start with a vision board, and list out the dreams (goals) that you want to accomplish.
3. Educate yourself and don’t take shortcuts. Break the bad habits of the lazies.
4. Find what you love, pursue, and work hard at it. Determination is the key, even when things fall apart.
5. Consistency will get you there. Failed once, twice, or more; that’s the school of (thoughts) life. One must use one’s failures as a tool on your journey to success.

6. You must convince yourself, over and over again, that every and all things are POSSIBLE. The challenge of embracing this mindset is that we’ve faced systemic racism that has held Black and Brown people back, failures, haters (friends, foes, and so negative family members), misjudgments, rejection, and unfulfilled dreams. Because of that, we tend to think that dreams are not worth pursuing or the possibilities are on a miniature scale. Think back to when you were in kindergarten, and everything really was possible, right? The sky was the limit then, and the sky is still the limit, now!

So, dream. Be willing to fail. Learn from failures. Change your strategies. You’re already there!
