El Nido, Palawan
Let me tell you, getting to El Nido is part of the adventure! While you might be tempted to hop on a direct flight from Manila, offered solely by Airswift, I found it quite pricey. Instead, I opted for a more budget-friendly route: a flight to Puerto Princesa. Trust me, this option is not only easier on the wallet but also offers a chance to soak in some of Palawan’s stunning landscapes.
Once I landed in Puerto Princesa, I hopped on a bus to El Nido. The journey took about 5 to 6 hours, but you know what? It was a scenic ride through lush greenery and charming towns, each revealing more of the beauty that awaited me. As we got closer to El Nido, I could feel the excitement building. I knew I was heading to a slice of paradise.
Upon arriving in El Nido, I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming vibe of the place. There’s no shortage of affordable accommodation options, a real bonus for budget travelers like me. I stayed comfortable at Bill Tourist Inn, which offered everything I needed: comfort, wifi, complimentary breakfast, a relaxing pool, cleanliness, and friendly service.
