Member-only story
Here is a human story and why it’s not good to be a “RACIST” or HATE anyone due to their skin color.
All people, Blacks, Whites, Asians, Arabs, etc., are good, and all people are evil — something like the yin and yang. When South Africa was going through the stage of APARTHEID, and of which of course that legacy remains and have not been totally eradicated, a young man named Bantu Stephen Biko rose and stood for common human decency and was not willing to give up his beliefs. Biko was resilient in his struggles. On his journey, death, he knew, was an alternative that will come for speaking the truth. And this has become the narratives of most African countries, today, on the continent; you speak the truth, you become hated, and it is a death warrant. Biko was not afraid of death, a true revolutionary, and cited, “It is better to die for an idea that will live than to live for an idea that will die.” Biko was willing to die for an idea that will live, which will later be the “the-look-to” for some African activists that came later.
Biko went on and befriended a White South African brother, named Donald Woods, who was also a journalist to tell his story to the world. Biko and Woods became best friends and related on so many levels that South Africa should change and work for all South Africans. To cut the story short, without Biko, there would have been no Donald Woods, and without Donald Woods picking up his journalistic pen to write, there would have been no Biko. Today, ask yourselves, “Why do we hate?” Hate is a weakness, and it’ is a burden that destroys human spirits. In human’s shared history, love has always been known to conquer HATE. No matter your struggles, find love within your hearts, to forgive, find peace, and be willing to live, again, free, out of a cage of human indecencies (racism, sexism, etc.)
