I am a survivor of covid!

Social media is rife with crazy posts (“Oh, the government is trying to take away our freedoms, dotty, dot) disparaging the wearing masks mandate, the vaccine, etc — but these reactions to a complex and nuanced issue are doing more damage than the greater good.

On December 10 of 2020, I came down with the virus. Covid is indeed a reality. Our freedoms are not entwined in “me-me-me-perspectives,” and some of us can not keep on down…
