Liberia, the Crime for Speaking the Truths.

Many (uneducated Liberians) still unconsciously questioned whether they deserved better conditions. Some of their minds have been conditioned to tribalism, party-politics, us versus them, etc., that they submissively adjusted to the things that were fed. The things as they were. These are the ultimate tragedy of illiteracies. It does not only harms one physically, but injures one spiritually.

Now, some of my countrymen may frown upon these truths. The truth is, speaking the truths are my only crime. I am proud of my crime. Today, it’s a crime for those who joined souls in the fight against injustice. In the President’s past long inaugural speech, he mentioned “dreams,” and, perhaps, those were just dreams without actions that became a wish. A wish then; a wish now.

In Porte’s era, it was a crime then, based on the very idea of seeking to instill within his people a sense of dignity and self-worth. “Enemies of the state,” they were labeled. Under Muyan, “da our time to eat. Hate-position! You don’t like the…
