Power Without Any Morality is No longer Power.
First, I must say that the relationship between morality and power is a very complex one. Power without morality is no longer power. True power demands delicacy and intelligence, not coercion and oppression. As we carefully study power, we then come to study leadership and citizenry. Good leadership and social intelligence are corrupted by the sense of power. Some of us tend to believe that attaining power requires force, cunning, manipulation and coercion. Some of us might tend to believe that the position of power markets this kind of deportment — that to run smoothly civilization demands leaders who are prepared and are able to exert power this way.
For example, you can not call President Trump, a powerful man because he and his supporters have gotten the whole nation in a panic. That’s not power. To understand power, we’ve got to make our own interpretations and start to govern the world that way. Kids, white or black, cannot understand what they have come to witness by those who have abused power. No. As the world changes, they will start to reject it. Why? The world is not as isolated as we think. As they learn about their shared history, they will begin to understand that we’ve witnessed…
