The Liberian Psalm, a reflection: Killing President Tolbert was a mistake. 🇱🇷

What were the benefits of killing President Tolbert to have presidents dressed like him (Taylor and now, Pres. George Weah)? What were the benefits of killing Tolbert to have puppets as leaders, unlike him? When you murdered “visionaries” who were not puppets of the West, you come to kill ideas that should have liberated one’s nation. Liberians, it’s not everything that should result in violence. For example, the violence removal of Tolbert (an Americo-Liberian) to get a “NATIVE” puppet who killed other Native people that disagreed with him.

Insanity, at its best! Yes, I went there! And when will you all be simply “Liberians,” than the “Americos” (Liberian of African-American descent) and the Natives (Liberians of African descent)? The “us versus them” mentality that I read all the time on my Facebook timeline. Liberia’s problems are Liberians. To fix these problems, turn to yourselves, not America, or any other country in the West. Re-evaluate your actions towards one another, and come to realize that “Liberia” is all you’ve got and there are no homes can ever measure.
