Uncomfortable Conversations About Racism That We Need To Start Having 🇺🇸.

Dear White Parents,
When you talk about race, you should come to talk about beauty in all races. Don’t just see it as a taboo topic. We, as Blacks, are not intimidating or are not inferior to Whites. 1. Tell your children that Black people are just like all people. They aren’t thugs or hate all White people due to the sins of their forefathers. 2. Tell your children that we, as Black people, believe in “liberty” and the “pursuit of happiness.” When you talk about race, don’t teach your kids that America is “color blind,” either. Please tell them that it is colored. Color blindness is racism. 3. Tell your children to value differences and embraced it without second thoughts.

Black Parents: When we talk about race, we should never bring up the ideas to our children that all White people are racists, and that all cops are evil and are out to get them, or that they should be and protest like Dr. King. We’ve been having “THE TALKS” for decades. It has been an intense, high-stakes training on the realities of which our ancestors have dealt with. We have, from police brutalities and how to avoid “the racists.” Though we’ve yet to see no change, I think some changes start with us in this country. We must have talks with our sons to valued our Black daughters and raised strong, educated…
